It's been a long time since the last time I post an update.
So many things happened but I will do what I normally do every year : Showing off my birthday presents :D Aaand here they are :

Happy New Year 2014!

Last months of 2013 was indeed hard, but here I am, making it to 2014! So many great things happened early in this beautiful new year :) Just like last year and years before, I received lots and lots of love from family and friends.

I finally tell my significant other about how I think and I feel about him, and I could say that he is the greatest gift this year (ahem! :">). He made a cute drawing of me (go follow his instagram, he has a rad collection of drawings!):

And I am so grateful to know Dita, Eki, Icha, and Kak Nikita, spent some time to made these wonderful birthday greetings for me :

I already wanted to buy a suitcase for my art supplies but I didn't have a time to find and buy one. They save me a very good amount of time and energy, thanks, i LOVE this!

My very kind roommate, Mba Zah, gave me a guitar... in a form of flashdisk, or as we say in Thailand, thumbdrive :D And Mba Dati gave me a really cute encouragement to finish my thesis. I will Mba, and I will do it really soon :)

Actually, there's another present but it's still in the laundry basket. It's a purple clothes from Brina, the cool girl on the block. Haha, thanks, Brin!

My family gave me a skype birthday party! Dang, why are they having a party when I'm not even there?

They already cut and ate the cake. Without me.

One of my favorite singer was forgetting my birthday, I was kinda sad. LOLJK. I know he was having a test for the sake of continuation of his life, I won't even mad if he completely forgot. Well maybe a little. (Disclaimer  :  for all of eco-lover out there, don't worry, this guy were reusing used paper and have the intention the reuse it again.)

And as I promised in my previous post, here I present the video that Cinan and her other-half, Houman, made for me, you will see why there's no way I could top their video :

For a very personal reason, this video defines pure happiness to me. Thank you very much, cutest and smartest couple I've ever met :)

from every little things

Here are some little things I met over a week trip (to-)in(-from) Jakarta:
LIFESTYLE CHANGE IS A NEED
Something stroke me and that thing made me need to gain weight. Badly. So now I'm trying to stop eating what I usually eat daily and without fail: frozen food, fast food, instant food, and snacks with MSG, because apparently those thing made me sick. I am also trying to stop drinking coffee and soda. I try live a healthy life. Exercising suddenly becoming a must in my life.

POLITE MEN
I met new friends and I consider them polite. I asked a friend to pick me up and take me to my relative's house. He brought 5 friends of his. I already met one of them in real life and one of them on the net, the others were new. We hung out in a park and they started to joke with each other. I instantly like them. It is because they appreciate each other. Not like most of my friends in Jogja, who most of the time will give raised eyebrow and uncomfortable facial expression when someone throw unfunny jokes, they politely smile and laugh and start to give another joke so the person who give the cold joke doesn't feel uncomfortable. Maybe some people will say that it isn't a real friendship, but for me, friend is the one who makes you feel comfortable. I found them really comfortable to hang out with.

SOMEHOW YOU ARE WHAT GOES AROUND YOU
In Jakarta, my friend brought me anywhere by motorcycle but it still didn't stop us from being in a traffic jam (still, I thanked them a lot for bringing me everywhere). The traffic jam made me realize, people in Jakarta are impatient. Believe it or not, i like being in a traffic jam because it gives me time to think, so it is OK for me to be in a traffic jam. But not for my friends--and other road users as well--, they don't like it as I see them became impatient and cranky when we were stuck in the middle of traffic. I think they became impatient because of the traffic jam itself. I bet undergoing traffic jam day by day at some point does make you impatient even if you are the most patient person in the whole world, because everyone else around you are starting to blow their horn and if that isn't enough to annoy you, the traffic start to stuck again after you barely move for only three seconds. Maybe if I stay a little longer there I would also become impatient.

NICE ≠ NICE
I rode an economic AC train to go back to Yogya and I sat next to a middle-aged woman. I tried to be nice at first to her and she responded well. Too well. In the first three hours of travel she kept talking to me and what made me a bit uncomfortable was that she said she could never sleep in a train. Great. When I tried to sleep she also tried to talk to me. She even woke me up from my sleep just to tell me I could stretch my feet to the front seat so I could sleep better. I was already sleeping, Ma'am, thank you. I knew she was just trying to be nice but it was kind of displeased me. This experience made me realize that not everyone appreciates nice treatments from other people. It's time for me learn and observe whether people around me like how I treat them or not.

This drawing shows the transformation of my drawing-style (clockwise). But, I'm not usually stick to one style since I am easily bored. About the title, well, I always like 'Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby' especially the part 'A woman is a creature that is always been strange'. Even though I am a woman, I don't mind to hear that statement, I am even agreeing that statement, because woman really is strange. Sometimes, I don't even understand about how I'm feeling. OK, enough talking about how I sometimes question about binary opposition (?).

I turned 20 this year and i received many many love from all around me, greetings and gifts flood my heart, thanks all :) Mom and Dad gave me new cute clothes, Mas Yoga and Mbak Kiki gave me a watch and a bottle of perfume (i hoped it was wine ;D). another everybody's changing

first thing first, i am breaking my promise, i did not buy scanner soon, i did not scan my drawings soon, i did not upload them soon. why is that? on 5-9 february 2010 there will be an IT exhibition in my town, maybe i could get best bargain there :D

second thing second, i could not explain to you why i love this song. i heard this song when i was at junior high school and like WOW, i adore this song. then when my department held an event (Allez Francais 2010, a story telling and quiz competition for high school students), me and Duta performed this song. HOW I MISS MY LONG HAIR!

3D Origami ngga kalah sama 3D Movie

Nest of Ojanto punya sebuah kegiatan yang sangat menarik yang bertajuk: Play Your Magic Hand: A D.I.Y Project Workshop. Sayangnya kegiatan ini diadakan hari Selasa sore dimana saya pasti tidak berkomunikasi dan berpikir dengan baik dikarenakan mendapatkan asupan ilmu dari kuliah jam 7 pagi hingga jam 3 sore :( Tapi bukan berarti saya tidak bisa membuat apa yang mereka buat kan?! Karena di blog Nest of Ojanto tersebut diberikan tutorial serta booklet cara pembuatan 3D origami :)

Karena ternyata kertas yang saya punya kurang untuk membuat 3D origami seperti di Play Your Magic Hands: 3D Origami, maka saya membuat 3D Origami dengan tutorial berikut:



Well, it's different but didn't spoil the fun! Seriously :)
